Finding the hotel proved to be a challenge due to poor signage—my GPS took me to a different place entirely, and signs were absent once I reached the right area. Inside, the renovations felt rushed. the laminate flooring gave a cold touch, and the uneven texture on the walls created an unfinished look with visible lines. My bathroom mirror was installed way too low for someone my height, making morning routines a hassle. I struggled with the door’s keycard reader initially, and the seal on the door allowed cold air and humidity to creep in, compounding discomfort. The cleanliness was underwhelming, as I discovered stray hairs on the sheets and a creepy crawly in the bathroom—a detail that leaves much to be desired for hygiene.

While the restaurant offered delicious meals, I faced several issues during my stay. The shower had inconsistent temperature, and I found hairs in the towels. However, the minimalist decor was refreshing. For future guests, be aware of potential noise and curious cats outside.

Couple's getaway with some hiccups

The water pressure in the shower was pretty solid, like real solid and very hot, which I gotta say I love after a long day. Savannah at the front desk was a lifesaver too, super helpful and friendly, honestly changed the mood of the stay.

It was a bit pricey, but you know what? I guess it was still acceptable overall.

Oh honey, the chopped salads at The Shell House were pure bliss, fresh and bursting with flavor! Plus, the friendly staff bent over backward to help us extend our stay, making everything flow smooth and easy.

Now, don't get me started on the hiccup with our reservation—walked in all pumped, but they sent us packing as our room got given away. Best to ring up ahead to ensure they've got your spot saved!

I loved having quick access to the cozy garden and the inviting fire pit during my stay. Although the air conditioning was a bit weak and there were some stains in the room, it didn't ruin my overall experience. I'd suggest bringing your own snacks since the vending options are limited. 🌳
